Patient Participation Group

Claughton Medical Centre’s PPG was established in October 2011.  The group provides an excellent opportunity from the local community to get involved with what is happening at Claughton.

The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is here to act as a link between you and the Practice. Our aim is to try to improve communication between the practice and patients and provide a forum to discuss mutual interest in their Practice. We are unable to deal with medical matters but may raise other issues on your behalf such as telephone access, appointment availability or any other issue which may concern you as a patient. We meet on a regular basis to discuss and review any matters which may have arisen.

Once the Practice has an established Patient Group we aim to become members of NAPP.

National Association for Patient Participation website.

N.A.P.P. supports the aims of the Alma Ata Declaration that include the statement: “The people have the right and duty to participate individually and collectively in the planning and implementation of their health care”
