When We Are Closed

A doctor is always available when the surgery is closed. If you need urgent advice outside normal surgery hours, please ring the GP Out of Hours Service based at Arrowe Park Hospital on "111" They will be able to deal with any urgent problems or arrange for you to be seen when the surgery is closed including weekends. This service is for emergencies only

Walk-in Centres

Also available at Arrowe Park Hospital is the Walk-in-centre. This is a nurse run clinic able to treat minor ailments. They are open seven days a week including bank holidays from 8.00am - 10.00pm.

A similar Walk-In-Centre is available at Victoria Central Hospital, Wallasey, with the same opening hours.

A third Walk-In-Centre is available at Eastham, Monday - Friday, 2.00pm - 10.00pm and 9.00am - 5.00pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

No appointments are needed for Walk-In-Centres.

We also have an onsite pharmacy who can give medical advice, Claughton Pharmacy, you can contact them on 0151 653 7543 or call in Monday - Saturday 7.00am to 10.30pm and Sunday 9.00am to 4.00pm.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergencyNHS ChoicesThis site is brought to you by My Surgery Website
